What are Coins for? How do I get them?

Coins are an in-game currency, in addition to Cash, used to get specific features or bonuses, such as:
B. HOW TO GET COINS
There are several ways to get Coins:
a. You get Coins after investigating a Crime Scene
After investigating a Crime Scene, you are rewarded with Coins. The higher your score is, the more Coins you have.
b. You can get Coins by purchasing them
You can buy Coins with your credit card
To buy Coins with your credit card, follow these steps:
- Go to your game map and click on the "+" on the Coins bar
- In the pop-up that appears, select the amount of Coins you want to buy
- Choose your payment method
- Click on "Continue"
You can buy Coins with your mobile phone
To buy Coins with your mobile phone, follow these steps:
- Go to your game map and click on the "+" on the Coins bar
- In the pop-up that appears, select the "Pay with mobile" tab and choose the amount of Coins you want
- Check your mobile phone information and click on "Continue"
c. You can get Coins on Criminal Case Fan Page
Twice a week, free Coins are posted on the Fan Page. Click on the link displayed in the post.

d. You can get Coins by trading Lucky Cards
You can get Coins by trading Lucky Cards, which you access by clicking on the cards on the left side of your game map.

f. You can get Coins thanks to the Daily Bonus
You can get Coins when you collect your Daily Bonus. To collect the Daily Bonus, click on the gift box on the left side of your map.

g. You get Coins when you advance in a Chapter or complete it
Chapters are divided in several parts. Whenever you finish one of these parts, you get Coins as a reward.
When you complete a whole Chapter, you also get Coins.

What happens when I refresh a Crime Scene?
What happens when you refresh a Scene
If your page refreshes while you are in a Crime Scene, (e.g. log out of Facebook, Internet problems, in-game error, general technical issue etc.), you can either:
- Abandon the Crime Scene
- Resume the Crime Scene
When you abandon a Crime Scene
- The 20 Energy you used to enter the Crime Scene are not restored
- If you were using Boosters before the page was refreshed, these Boosters are considered used and are not restored to your inventory.
When you resume a Crime Scene
- The 20 Energy you used to enter the Crime Scene are not restored
- The time counter shows the infinite sign: the time you take to finish the scene is not saved
- If you were using one or more Boosters before refreshing, these Boosters are considered used and are not restored to your inventory.
- Your previous Partner becomes unavailable and is replaced by Jones, if you were not already playing with Jones
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Please note this is not a bug and is necessary for technical reasons and also to avoid cheating.
How do I get Energy? How do I use Energy Items (Orange Juice, Potato Chips, Burger)?
There are various ways to get Energy in the game. You will either get Energy directly added to your Energy bar, or get Energy Items that you can use when you want.
How to get Energy
Here is a list of all the ways you can get Energy:
- Automatic refill:
You can wait until your Energy bar is partially or completely refilled.
- Level up refill:
When you level up, your Energy bar will automatically be filled up to 110. It will not exceed 110 if you had Energy points remaining. If you had more than 110 Energy points you will not lose any. (Learn more) - Daily bonus:
If you claim your daily bonus reward during at least 3 consecutive days, you will get Energy items. You will obtain 1 Potato Chips if you claim your reward for 5 consecutive days or more!
- Purchase Energy Items:
You can also purchase Energy Items with Cash to get Energy right away. (Learn more)
To purchase Energy Items, please follow these steps:- Click on the Energy bar or on the Energy icon in the circular menu at the bottom, left-hand corner
- Choose among the following Items:
- Orange Juice which costs 20 Cash and gives you 20 Energy
- Potato Chips which cost 40 Cash and give you 50 Energy
- Burger which costs 70 Cash and gives you 100 Energy
- Fan Page Free Gifts:
You can benefit from the Free Gifts offered every day on the Facebook Fan Page. Remember to "Like" the Fan Page to be informed of all the offers! (Learn more)
- Friends' gifts:
Your Criminal Case friends can send you 2 Energy points as a Free Gift. You also get 1 Energy point every time they accept Energy from you. The more friends you have, the more Energy you will receive, so invite as many friends as you want to play with you!
- Promotion sharing:
When your friends level up or get promoted (rank up), they can share 1 Orange Juice or 1 Potato Chips thanks to their promotions. Just click on the “Claim Orange Juice” or “Claim Potato Chips” that appear in your Facebook News Feed (Learn more) to get those items. Please note that you can only claim 3 Orange Juices and 1 Potato Chips per day. (Learn more)
- Clues examination reward:
You get an Energy reward when you perform actions on Clues (restore, collect, decode or find). The faster you finish them, the more Energy points you obtain!
- Additional Investigation rewards:
Some characters will reward you with a Burger after you have helped them during the Additional Investigations.
- Extra Stars trading:
Once you have finished a Case and its Additional Investigations, you can trade your remaining Stars for Energy Items. (Learn more)
- Lucky Cards collections:
Once you have a complete Collection, you can trade the "Heart" and "Spade" Lucky Cards for an Energy Item. (Learn more)
How to use Energy Items
When you receive Energy Items (Orange Juice, Potato Chips or Burgers) they are stored in your Inventory. You can use them to get Energy at any moment.
To do so, please follow these steps:
- Open your Inventory by clicking on the Energy bar or on the Energy icon in the circular menu at the bottom, left-hand corner
- Choose one of the Items you have and click on "Use" to get the corresponding Energy points
- If you do not have any Energy Item, you can buy some with Cash. See "Purchase Energy Items" section above
